    That’s right. I don’t know about you but juice only cleanses just aren’t appealing to me. This is most likely because… well… I love food too much.

    I’m not afraid to say it because this lifestyle allows me to love food.

    I still want to cleanse away toxins and impurities though, I want it to work effectively. Guess you can say I want a lot of things – the best of both worlds – because why not?! Real food plus a cleanse program together as one. Yes please.

    Before you think I’m against fresh juices, let me mention that there’s nothing wrong with invigorating cold-pressed juices. In fact, I’ve included a couple of my new fave detox juice recipes in this cleanse. But I need more than juice to function like a proper human. I need high-quality carbs and superfood smoothies and lavish raw salads with all the goodness from plant foods.

    I need nutritional balance. Maybe you do too?

       

     My philosophy on cleansing:

    Overall, cleansing the body should be enjoyable and inspiring. A positive experience that will benefit you for the long-term rather than a few days.

    This program is not only effective at getting you back on track to a happy balance all around, but it’s absolutely delicious and undeniably satisfying. My main goal in creating this cleanse was to supplement my vegan starter guide and help newbie vegans transition lifestyles in a healthy yet realistic way (hello, glow effect) but, since so many cleanses leave you feeling undernourished and ravenous afterward (like juice cleanses) this plan is absolutely perfect for anyone, vegan or not, to reboot the body back to bliss. More importantly, to focus on the mind-body connection and becoming more in tune with your body as a whole.

    Even if you aren’t planning on transitioning to a plant based vegan diet, you will thrive and eat a healthy, whole foods, plant fueled menu for 5 days straight.

    And you’ll feel AMAZING for it.   

    Consistent Lifestyle Discipline > Stress and Starvation

    Motives for doing a cleanse often have good intentions but are completely backwards at the same time, like losing a few pounds only to gain it back a couple days later. I would rather practice consistency and lifestyle discipline for a clean, healthy and toned body throughout the year than worry about losing a few pounds right before vacation. Starving the body of essential nutrients to lose a couple pounds is a bad idea all around. Plus, it’s way too stressful right?! The few pounds that were (maybe) lost come right back anyway because living on juice is NOT a sustainable way to live. I’m more about balance and maintenance rather than short-lived benefits. Let’s be kind to our bodies.

I’ve been wanting to do this for a while as a fresh start with all the changes to my “brand” in the last year. It feels right to just use my name 😀 (fun fact: I haven’t taken my hubbys last name yet because of business paperwork that I’m too lazy to figure out 😅 name changes are complicated) 

@theglowingfridge started out of my love for the plant based lifestyle but so much has changed in the last 9 years and I’ve been itching to update. When my blood sugar is on a nasty rollercoaster, I’m not the best mama that I know I should be for my girl. I’m more irritable and short. So I prioritize protein, healthy fats and carbs at each meal. This helps me feel balanced and provides energy to play and chase after her all day! I need all the fuel I can get.

    I don’t get ready everyday… But when I do I f I don’t get ready everyday…

But when I do I feel better, duh! And more confident. More productive. Happier in general. Of course I have super lazy days but I try to get myself together because I’m more likely to leave the house, you know mamas? I hate when people ask “why do you get ready if you’re home all day”..
