5-Ingredient Collagen Protein Bars… I’ve been making these for a couple months now and finally getting around to sharing them! This is a highly requested recipe and I think that’s because of the glyphosate-free collagen powder I use but also because most of the protein bars/collagen bars on the market suck and have terrible, gut-irritating ingredients. At least that is my experience. If you’re anything like me, you are trying to stay away from the heavily processed protein bars that make me bloated or hurt my stomach… and go back to simplicity. And who doesn’t need a quick and yummy protein bar to grab on the go? Or to have as breakfast with fruit and yogurt or something? These bars save me sometimes I swear!
Each bar has 9 grams of protein if you follow this recipe! Have 2 of them and you’re up to 18!
Coconut flour, collagen powder, coconut milk, sunflower seed butter and maple syrup. That’s it! I have not tried it with any substitutions.
1 cup coconut flour
1 cup collagen powder
1/2 cup light coconut milk
1/2 cup sunflower seed butter
1/3 cup pure maple syrup
Mix dry ingredients together first. Mix in wet ingredients.
Mixture is sticky! Press dough into a lined glass Tupperware. Add chocolate chips if you desire!
Refrigerate for 20 minutes. Slice into 10 squares. Store in refrigerator.
