Meet my ‘5-Minute Anything Glow Sauce’.
It’s everything you’ve ever wanted in a yummy homemade sauce or dressing!
Super easy. Quick. Pretty. Delish. Healthy!
I’ve learned that having some sort of dressing or sauce on hand makes me more inclined to put kale in a bowl (amongst other things) for nourishing lunches that take less than 5 minutes to make. I aim to eat huge salads at lunch to get my greens in. Otherwise, I end up eating protein bars, an apple, crackers and whatever else I can quickly get my hands on. When hunger strikes, all self control goes out the window! If I don’t have something healthy and ready-made to fuel my lunchtime inspiration, I end up eating snacks on snacks rather than a real meal, and I never feel fully satisfied.
This is especially true for weekday lunches! The last thing I want is to spend time making lunch, which is why weekly meal prep is so essential, at least for me anyway. I always roast a bunch of veggies (specific to the cycle phase I’m in that week – see my Hormone Healing Meal Plan for more info on that!) along with a phase-specific grain, legume and/or bean. For example, having pre-drained and rinsed chickpeas in a glass container makes my life so much easier when it’s time for lunch because it allows me to quickly toss them in a bowl with kale, the veggies I roasted and the sauce I made – like this ‘5-Minute Anything Glow Sauce’! Check out my Spicy Magic Green Sauce recipe too – that one’s SO ADDICTING.
I’m left with the perfect quick and easy lunch, filled with veggies and greens! This recipe has a thinner consistency because I don’t always want a thick, creamy sauce. Each of them have their place in the sauce world!
What else to put this glow sauce on? So glad you asked! This bright and herby sauce was made to breathe some life back into your salads, but is ready to add oomph to nearly anything! Imagine this drizzled on chickpeas or tempeh, on a glow bowl, on roasted/steamed vegetables, over quinoa, brown rice or lentils, on lentil pasta with steamed veggies, etc. The flavor options become endless since this “anything” sauce really can adapt to make anything taste good!
All in all, prepping a simple sauce that’s versatile will keep meals from getting boring and worst of all, keep them from getting dry and flavorless.
Bland be gone! ‘5-Minute Anything Glow Sauce’ for the win.
Not to mention, it’s a very forgiving recipe. Feel free to use what you have on hand. Swap lemon juice for vinegar or swap dried herbs instead of fresh. Make it spicy by adding red pepper flakes. It can be anything you want it to be! Use avocado oil or grapeseed oil, if you don’t have olive oil. Also, I love this tahini.
I stored mine in a glass weck jar. I’m obsessed with weck jars for meal prep!!
