    I LOVE caffeine. Too much. Like way too much.

    I could probably drink 3 large cups per day but that is NO BUENO for my anxiety or hormone health. I limit myself to 1 cup per day even though I want allll the caffeine.

    During those times when I crave more coffee, I make this Anti-Anxiety, Caffeine-Free Latt?. I created it to specifically taste like coffee by adding extra Dandy Blend and also some reishi mushroom powder (this is totally optional). It does the trick by providing the coffee taste without the jitters or extra anxiety, and it’s sugar free! I’ve been making it for a while now and just had to share this sugar-free, naturally sweetened coffee replacement with you 🙂

    I love Dandy Blend for it’s amazing gluten-free ingredient list! Made from roasted dandelion roots, chicory, beets, and the grains of barley and rye, the blend is beneficial for your liver while satisfying coffee cravings.

    I also adore the reishi adaptogenic mushroom from Sun Potion because it truly calms my nervous system, helps with mental clarity and makes a difference in my anxiety! Reishi is known as the “queen healer” and chaga mushroom is known as the “king healer”. They make a great team together!

    I’ve been getting into healing mushrooms lately to further help me adapt to stress after feeling very bogged down with lots of work stuff happening. All of it is amazing and I’m so grateful but still, I need all the extra help I can get from nature to keep my body in balance, you know?! When I’m feeling down or sad, I reach for the “dopamine bean” called mucuna pruriens and it totally helps 🙂

    Description

    When more coffee isn’t the answer, but you are craving it like crazy! Make this sugar-free coffee replacement drink instead to help lessen the anxiety that can come from caffeine!


    Ingredients

    Scale

    1.5 cups filtered water
    1/2 cup almond milk
    1 teaspoon mct oil (or coconut oil; optional)
    2-3 tablespoons dandy blend (I like 3 for a coffee taste)
    1/2 teaspoon reishi (optional)
    1/2 tablespoon monkfruit sweetener
    1 tablespoon maple syrup (from choczero)
    5-6 stevia drops for extra sweetness


    Instructions

    Warm the water.

    Froth the almond milk and mct oil using a frother or handheld frother tool.

    Add dandy blend, reishi, monkfruit, choczero syrup and stevia to a mug. Pour hot water in the mug and stir until well combined. Then pour in the frothy almond milk.

    Enjoy!

    HANDLE NAME CHANGE!! I’ve been wanting to do th HANDLE NAME CHANGE!!

I’ve been wanting to do this for a while as a fresh start with all the changes to my “brand” in the last year. It feels right to just use my name 😀 (fun fact: I haven’t taken my hubbys last name yet because of business paperwork that I’m too lazy to figure out 😅 name changes are complicated) 

@theglowingfridge started out of my love for the plant based lifestyle but so much has changed in the last 9 years and I’ve been itching to update. When my blood sugar is on a nasty rollercoaster, I’m not the best mama that I know I should be for my girl. I’m more irritable and short. So I prioritize protein, healthy fats and carbs at each meal. This helps me feel balanced and provides energy to play and chase after her all day! I need all the fuel I can get.

    I don’t get ready everyday… But when I do I f I don’t get ready everyday…

But when I do I feel better, duh! And more confident. More productive. Happier in general. Of course I have super lazy days but I try to get myself together because I’m more likely to leave the house, you know mamas? I hate when people ask “why do you get ready if you’re home all day”..
