Let’s talk mylk… banana mylk…
Mylk is the swanky way of referring to milk. Actually, spelling it with a “y” is way more fun than spelling it with an “i”. What does swanky even mean ha.
Sometimes you run out of almond milk. Or coconut milk. Or whatever non-dairy deliciousness you love. Not everyone owns a high-speed blender either, which is basically required to make homemade nut milk. This is when you make banana mylk! The frothiest, creamiest and sweetest alternative to any milk. Packed with electrolytes, potassium, vitamin B6, manganese and fiber, this nutritious “milk” can be sipped after a workout (my favorite), poured over cereal, used in a smoothie, or frozen into healthy popsicles.
Mmm! Smooth, super simple, deliciously refreshing and CHEAP.
Next time you go to grab milk or you run out of milk, consider blending up banana mylk instead. Switch things up a bit! All you need is 2 bananas + 2 cups cold water and cinnamon. In 30 seconds, you have a new foamy and delicious “milk” substitute. It will need to be enjoyed immediately as the bananas oxidize quickly and it will separate like it has in the picture above. Since it only takes 30 seconds to blend up, this is something you can easily make when in a rush to nourish and fill you up! Be sure to use ripe and spotty bananas – as these are the sweetest and are much easier to digest than green bananas.

I LOVE this idea! I’m always paranoid that I might run out of nut/soya milk, so I usually have about 20 long-life cartons occupying the entire cupboard, hah. I want to try this anyway, it sounds delicious!

Hahahaa I’m the same way! Like there is no way I can run out of almond milk, I wouldn’t know what to do! This recipe fixes that though, hope you enjoy 🙂
