We know drinking water is beneficial for our health and skin but some of us struggle with drinking enough. Let’s be real – water can get a little plain and boring at times!! So I’m sharing a few fun ways to easily infuse your water and add lots of fresh flavor, making it easier to drink more of it throughout the day and help you stay on top of hydration. Plus, adding fresh fruits, veggies and herbs can make you feel like you’re at the spa, having a relaxing day 🙂
Whether out and about or working from home, I’ve been loving my new Brita water bottle with a built-in filter. You can conveniently fill it up anywhere (gym, school, work, drinking fountains) and feel good about the water your drinking. From our tap water, Brita filters out impurities and harmful contaminants like chlorine, copper and mercury which can affect our bodies long-term and cause permanent damage. I’ve always felt skeptical about what is added to our tap water and filtered water takes the worry out of that. I found my Brita in the hardware section at Walmart, but you can also find it here. It definitely makes water taste better too.
Tips to Infuse Your Water:
1) Add Fresh Herbs:
Now that summer is here, herbs are cheaper, more fresh and easier to come by. Maybe you even have a little herb garden like me! Although, If I’m buying herbs from the store, they always seem to go bad fast (unless I quickly freeze them) so this is a great way to use them up and not waste your herbs. Fresh herbs like rosemary, lavender, mint and basil add so much flavor to your water and taste refreshing.
2) Add fresh fruits and veggies
Juicy fruits and water-dense veggies add lots of sweet, crisp flavor to brighten up your water. Fruits like sliced strawberries, raspberries, pineapple, oranges and watermelon work best rather than fruits like bananas. Same goes for veggies. Cucumber is a popular very spa-esque addition! The best part? You can snack on them throughout the day as long as they stay refrigerated. YUM.
3) Add citrus
I’m obsessed with lemons and limes! Every morning I drink lemon water right when I wake up to detoxify and wake up the body. Find the recipe here. It’s become a favorite part of my morning routine. Adding citrus slices throughout the day is great to perk up your water too. It can’t get any more fresh and energizing than citrus.
Other options:
chia seeds, food-grade essential oils and of course, ice cubes!!!

In a pinch I added frozen fruit to some water when I was really thirsty in the middle of the night. It flavored and cooled the water at the same time. That night I used raspberries and mangos.
