    Overnight Oats Made Easier

    Aug 24, 2017 • Breakfast

*This post is in collaboration with The Quaker Oats Company, but all opinions are my own”.

Overnight Oats Made Easier with Quaker

When I think about Quaker Oats, the large blue and red cylinder container lining the shelves in the cereal aisle comes to mind, along with an image of the trademark Quaker man sporting a blue hat.

How could I forget him?! Iconic.

I then remember the instant oatmeal packs that I was obsessed with while growing up. Apple Cinnamon or Strawberries and Cream? Decisions, decisions.

These days, my love for oats runs deep. They’re often incorporated into my recipes whether it be overnight oats, almond butter chewy cookies, or blending them into a fine flour for my Spicy Black Bean Burgers.

Oats are one of the most versatile foods around! A mere 1/2 cup of dry whole grain rolled oats contains 4 grams of fiber to help keep us feeling full and satisfied. My favorite (and easiest) way to make them is overnight in the fridge, to make for a smooth, hassle-free morning. That way, I can wake up to a nutritious breakfast and it’s one less thing to worry about.

I know you guys feel the love for overnight oats as they’ve become a staple in your weekly breakfast rotations too. If only overnight oats were a thing back in my college days… I really could have used an improvement in breakfast choices as I try to forget the cheesy egg burritos or bagels with cream cheese at the food courts… times have changed!!

I’m here to tell you that breakfast can be even easier than you thought! Quaker has just released their newest product… single-serving Quaker Overnight Oats! They’re the first-of-it’s-kind on the market to be available nationally. Quaker saw this as an opportunity to bring convenience to consumers, after noticing the digital trend of overnight oats across social media channels.

Each single-serving cup has a blend of oats, fruits, quinoa, flaxseed and nuts for a hearty, nutritious breakfast.

They’re available in four yummy flavors:

    • Blueberry Banana & Vanilla Bliss
    • Toasted Coconut & Almond Crunch (my fave)
    • Orchard Peach Pecan Perfect
    • Raisin Walnut & Honey Heaven

See?! Overnight Oats made even easier! Just add almond milk (or any milk of choice) and fill it up to the line, mix, cover and refrigerate overnight.

    Steep, sleep and eat!

As leaders and experts in oats for 140 years, Quaker specifically designed this product to ensure that each single-serve container is optimized for both taste and nutrition, including:

    • 100% Whole Grain Oats (+ other grains)
    • Good Source of Dietary Fiber (1 grams of fat or less per container)
    • No Artificial Flavors
    • No Added Colors
    • 300 calories or less per container (before adding milk of choice)

Thanks to Overnight Oats, you’ll have more time in the morning to do yoga, meditate or have a moment to yourself before starting the day.

It also makes meal planning for breakfast a breeze! Be sure to pick them up at your local grocery store. Hope you guys love the new Quaker Overnight Oats as much as I do!

    xoxo,
    Shannon
