Happy Monday!
Thank you for your sweet comments on my Life Update post, I was a bit nervous to share it but you guys are seriously the best! So last week I visited Snap Kitchen in Chicago (the Lakeview location) to meet with their registered dietician, Emily. She was super sweet and introduced me to everything Snap Kitchen is about as well as the selection of foods they offer. She even sent me home with some goodies to try!
What is Snap Kitchen?
Snap Kitchen is all about fresh, healthy take-away. With vegan-friendly, paleo, gluten free, carb-conscious, sodium-conscious, dairy free and plant powered options, they have enough to please all types of lifestyles. You can choose from their Breakfast, Signature Salads, Lunch, Snacks & Sides, Dinner, Juices and Desserts – and heat it up right in store, in their BPA-free microwave safe containers! Pretty cool, right?
They offer different juice cleanse programs as well as Snap Commit which is 3 weeks of delicious meals designed to fit your individual needs.
Where are they located?
It’s always nice to spread the word about conveniently healthy grab-n-go options which isn’t always easy to find, right? So you will love to hear that Snap Kitchen is in 5 Chicago locations as well as throughout Texas (and growing!).
Their meals and goodies are so delicious. Definitely not full of oil or salt which is something I’m always concerned about when eating out, so no worries there. Especially if you’re short on time and/or motivation, I highly suggest checking them out 🙂 Their nutrient-dense vegan meals filled me up and left me feeling satisfied 🙂 check it out ?
I tried the Grilled Kale “Hoppin John” salad with spanish brown rice, kale, black beans, sweet potatoes, creamy hummus and pumpkin seeds. My favorite was the Siam Lentil Bowl though with thai basil pesto, lentils, kale, carrot ribbons, onion, fresh lime and toasted almonds – YUM! I also sipped on the Spicy Basil Lemonade which was superrrr spicy and the Super Greens. Loved both of them! For dessert, I very much enjoyed the raw coconut macaroons, so much so that I’m recreating them and adding my own spin for you guys – recipe coming this week 🙂
If you have a Snap Kitchen in your area, stop on in and say hi to them. Let me know if you do and what you pick up 🙂
I’m off to look at apartments… yay!
