EEEK! Just in time for Halloween!! But also for anytime, really 😉
The best part?! No food processor required. And no medjool dates either. Just one bowl. Ahh its music to my ears because I’m lazy and cleaning a bowl is easier than cleaning a whole food processor. #lazy
But seriously, these Tahini Caramel Twix Bars (that are vegan and gluten free) will blow your mind!! Sometimes you just need a candy bar… you know? And I knew if I posted some complicated candy bar recipe no one would make it because no one has time for that. But these… these you have time for and HAVE to make! They’re too easy not to! And this recipe has no almond flour or coconut flour because they can be pricey flours. I just want everyone to make these. I mean, can they get any better?
The simple oat flour base, the mouth-watering tahini caramel and to top it off, the layer of vegan chocolate…. actual heaven.
The base is a mix of oat flour and coconut oil. The caramel is a mix of tahini, maple syrup and coconut oil and the chocolate is just these chocolate chips melted with more coconut oil. And that’s it!

Description
One bowl and no food processor required. The dreamiest tahini caramel candy bars that are absolute perfection.
Ingredients
Base Layer:
1 1/4 cup gluten free oat flour
1/2 cup melted coconut oil
2 tablespoons maple syrup (can use sugar-free maple syrup)
pinch of sea salt
Caramel Layer:
1/3 cup tahini
1/4 cup melted coconut oil
2–3 tablespoons maple syrup (can use sugar-free maple syrup)
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
Chocolate Layer:
3/4 cup vegan chocolate chips
2 teaspoons coconut oil
Instructions
In a mixing bowl, combine all ingredients for the base. Mix until well combined. Transfer to a lined loaf pan and spread out evenly. Freeze for 30 minutes.
Wash out the mixing bowl and combine all ingredients for the caramel layer. Mix until smooth and caramel-y! After the 30 minutes is up, pour the caramel layer over the oat layer, spreading out gently and evenly. Place back in the freezer for 15-20 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the chocolate layer by melting the chocolate chips with the coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 30-second increments then stir and microwave again for 30 more seconds until all is completely melted and smooth.
Once the 15 minutes is up, pour the chocolate layer over the caramel and freeze again for 30 minutes until solid.
Once ready, remove from freezer and slice into bars or squares.
Enjoy! You can now refrigerate the leftovers.

These are absolutely delicious and simple to make..amazing… I have a question. I found the filling a little soft even when straight out of the fridge. How could I make the centre a little firmer? More coconut?

Could you substitute the coconut oil for something else in the first two layers? I don’t use oil when I cook so just curious if I can just omit it or swap it for something else.

Double boiler on the stove is what I would use if I didn’t have one 🙂
