Super spicy. Enough to notice the heat, at least.
Sweet enough to make you smile. And naturally, like no added sweeteners. Watermelon is absolutely perfect for this.
Ultra refreshing. I mean, surprisingly refreshing though.. I couldn’t stop sipping/chugging and “mmmmm” -ing till every last drop was gone.
SUPER cold. Lots of ice cubes. Yes please. It’s hot out.
And there you have it. My absolute favorite and super addicting summer detox juice.
Besides quenching your thirst, watermelon is a nutrient-rich natural diuretic. It rids of bloating from the high-water content and provides nourishing nutrients like Vitamin A and C as well as cancer-fighting lycopene. Watermelons are known to be super cleansing and alkalizing. They help flush everything out! Cayenne pepper revs up your metabolism and helps burn a few extra calories. Why not.
Call me crazy but my tastebuds crave spicy, even when it’s 90 degrees outside. I add a little heat to everything. Marty is the same way. From stir fry’s to pasta to green juice and now this Watermelon Cayenne Detox Juice. Everything tastes better with a little spice, no?! So when the air is sticky and humid but you still crave some HEAT, make this icy and spicy juice. I assure you that post super-sweaty workout, this tastes like the best thing everrrrr.
Maybe you prefer less spicy, so use less cayenne pepper, but the amount of each ingredient I listed out for you ends up being PERFECT. Promise.
This juice looks beautiful in pictures, especially in glass mason jars. The only thing I’m missing is straws! I ran out but they definitely would add a nice touch 🙂 so go blend up this 3-ingredient “juice” to cleanse and cool off at the same time. I call it a juice because it’s nothing like a thick, creamy smoothie, even though I used a blender, not a juicer. It’s super light, plus, I would rather blend it to keep all of the essential fiber.
I love the Blendtec to the moon and back but any blender will do the trick. The recipe makes 4 cups (2 servings).

Awesome stuff. Please keep writing more things like this. I really like the fact you went so in depth on this and really explored the topic as much as you did. I read a lot of blogs but usually, it’s pretty shallow content. Thanks for upping the game here!

Love love love it! I am so glad I found your blog! I love all of your recipes and tips.I did the lemonade elixir yesterday and today I am doing the watermelon detox. It just so happens I have watermelon. Thanks!!! 🙂
What an interesting drink! I’m dying to try some right now. My jar blender died not too long ago and I haven’t replaced it yet, but I do have an immersion blender. Do you think an immersion blender would work, since the watermelon is so soft anyway?
Thanks for sharing the recipe! Can’t wait to try it.
Wow! Cool and spicy sounds so good for fun summer drink! 🙂 Such a pretty color too. Awesome post! <3
