Happy Friday and almost 4th of July!!
I’m testing out some new glow bowls like this Grilled Pineapple Glow Bowl (shown above) with broccoli, quinoa and a homemade sweet chili sauce. I might add tofu or edamame when I share this recipe with you guys but if you want to grill up some pineapple this weekend then this is an idea for you. Grilled pineapple is AMAZING!!
I was a busy little hermit this week, working on my new sales pages that are finally finished! It’s taken up every single second of my time the past few weeks but is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while. Not going to lie – I had a couple breakdowns whilst in the middle of this project and didn’t sleep much so I can’t wait to relax this weekend with the fam…
You know when you’re working on a project and are so close to being finished that you put your entire life on hold until you finish it?! That’s what I did (which is probably not healthy) but I had this crazy motivation to get it done before the holiday weekend or my mind wouldn’t be able to relax, ya know?! Sometimes I have no idea what I’m doing when it comes to the technical side of websites and blogging. I tend to just figure things out on my own because I have no other choice but it takes time… plus, coding is like a foreign language to me and my brain can’t figure it out.
For now, I’m learning as I go but eventually it would be nice to hire someone to help me with this! I need a go-to tech guy, if you know of anyone!!
Here are my new sales pages that you can also find in the top menu bar. They have more information, more of your questions answered and a new super easy way to pay through PayPal. Check them out:
Let me know what you think of them!
Also, my dad had some pretty serious heart surgery last Thursday and needed his aortic valve replaced; the surgeon said his valve was hard as a rock and the most calcified valve he’s seen in years… we are thankful nothing happened to him beforehand. I know this surgery is very common nowadays but it’s still major surgery and his incision is pretty brutal.. now he is home and recovering and has been a trooper through it all!
Aside from my re-vamped sales pages – here’s a few more yummy eats with you for some ideas this weekend!
Lettuce Wraps:
Using butter lettuce leaves, fill them with black beans, fresh tomato, avocado, fresh lime and your favorite salsa for the easiest lunch! Super healthy and super yummy, especially when you need to make a lazy lunch 🙂 they’re my current obsession!!
Fruity Granola Bowl:
Cut up one ripe mango, one ripe banana and a few strawberries. Add them to a bowl with your favorite granola and vanilla almond milk. I added a scoop of vanilla bean almond butter (found here) from Barney Butter which is the BEST almond butter I’ve tried in a while. Love the flavor and simplicity of this lazy girl bowl! It’s cold and sweet and hits the spot in summer.
Strawberry Banana Ice Cream Smoothie Bowl:
Ice cream for breakfast?! Yes please, especially when it’s HOT, HOT, HOT out! Slowly blend up 3 frozen bananas, 6 strawberries and a splash of almond milk with a scoop of the berry Vega Protein and Greens powder which I’m obsessed with. I love the nutrients and sweetness it adds, sometimes I don’t want the chocolate protein flavor in my smoothie bowls so the Vega powder is a nice change. After it’s blended until smooth and creamy, transfer it to a bowl with your favorite toppings! I added fresh cherries, blueberries, shredded coconut and coconut date rolls
. Tastes like ice cream but is wholesome and full of goodness. Love me some smoothie bowls.
That’s it for now! I’ll be sharing this weekend’s adventures on snapchat (glowingfridge) and yummy eats on instagram so follow along and share with me your weekend fun and healthy eats. Hope you have an amazing 4th of July!
