    What I Ate Wednesday

    Feb 8, 2017 • What I Ate

    Hi my lovelies!

As per usual, we have another What I Ate Wednesday! Plant based vegan style. I’ve been keeping up with these weekly posts for a while now 🙂

Hope you guys are having a great week, let’s get into my yummy eats.

    HYDRATION & BREAKFAST:

Every single morning, water, water water, before anything else, as you guys probably know by now! I always make sure to drink 24 ounces (3 cups) of filtered water every single morning, sometimes with 1/2 lemon. I use this ginormous mason jar all day every day because its huge and lets me measure out my water intake (and no cup is ever big enough). Water helps to rehydrate the body after a long night?s rest when we get dehydrated and is so essential to wake up the body. It starts the day off right and is SO great for our skin.

I changed up my water this time though, and have been stirring in spirulina powder! I promise it doesn’t add a green taste whatsoever, I only add about 1/4 teaspoon for a little extra spirulina detox power. LOVE it. I’ll be writing a post on it soon!

    Spirulina Water

Then I neeeed coffee, with my fave non-dairy creamer ? the Silk Almond Vanilla Flavored Creamer (check out my superfood coffee elixir recipe too!).

I was starvingg for breakfast, so I made some PB Chia Oats that I’ll be sharing the recipe for on Friday. SO GOOD and peanut butter-y. I’ll fill you in on a little secret: I used this PB Fit Peanut Butter Powder from Better Body Foods for a lower in fat creamy peanut butter.

    SNACK:

Later on while typing away, I snacked on a pink lady apple and some healthy cake bites which I will also be sharing soon! So many recipes to share ha.

    LUNCH:

Lunch was this kale quinoa bowl with a bbq veggie burger from Minimalist Baker and jalape?o kraut. Loved this combo and those veggie burgers… obsessed. I used this vegan bbq sauce from Simple Girl… been using it on everything! I also used their balsamic dressing for the kale. All the Simple Girl products are oil-free which I love.

    SNACK:

For some quick pre-workout fuel, I snacked on carrot sticks with a big spoonful of almond butter. They just go together… and if you haven’t tried it, you need to asap!

    DINNER:

After I got home from the gym, I made a quick protein shake with 1 scoop vega protein powder mixed into water. Forgot to take a pic! Then dinner was my Tofu Ricotta Lasagna which I meal prepped on Sunday. It’s super filling with lots of zucchini and hidden spinach! I literally crave this lasagna now… tastes so much like the real deal, no joke. Plus a side salad with baby kale, romaine, chopped carrots, shredded cabbage, hemp seeds and pepita seeds, with more of this balsamic dressing.

I snuck in a few pieces of dark chocolate too, andddd a glass of red wine!! Can’t help myself.

Hope you enjoyed this What I Ate Wednesday!

When you make kale salads do you massage the kale? If so, do you use olive oil? Thanks!

        Hi Kandice!

Normally I do massage the kale with lemon juice and a little maple syrup. No olive oil! I rarely ever use oil in my food – occasionally in baking but that’s my only exception! check out this post to learn a bit more: https://www.theglowingfridge.com/top-3-reasons-to-reduce-or-eliminate-oils-in-your-healthy-diet/ hope this helps!

That quinoa bowl looks amazing! I too drink a huge jar of lemon water in the morning. 🙂 Also, I’ve been meaning to try some of those Simple Girls dressings/sauces! I have trouble finding oil-free/low-fat dressings. Thanks for sharing–I enjoy your What I Ate Wednesday posts!

& my hair needed SERIOUS HELP. It was super oily & my hair needed SERIOUS HELP.

It was super oily and greasy with buildup from past products. I was washing daily… and just unhappy with the dullness and lack of volume. That has since changed!

Aside from getting transformed hair, this opportunity allows motivated women to have another income source. It allows mamas to have the best of both worlds - their own income while raising their babies (if you’re in that phase of life). It provides social media training, so much guidance and support (you’re never doing it alone), earned confidence and most importantly, community. Some of my best friends are here now because we talk daily and know everything about each other’s lives! Surrounding yourself with like-minded successful women can turn your life around. I’m not kidding. You are who you surround yourself with. It’s more than just shampoo.

All it takes is deciding YES and stepping out of your comfort zone. Don’t let life pass you by. Stop wondering and start taking action! 🥂

what healing looks like 🌼🩷 I starts out my what healing looks like 🌼🩷

I starts out my morning with a bunch of supplements to eliminate parasites and bacteria and repair my gut while supporting my liver and gallbladder. Next I make a protein smoothie with vanilla whey protein powder and a custom supplement to support my deficiencies. And lastly my creamy dandy blend latte because I’m not drinking coffee right now.

This is what works for me right now! I also have gf toast usually from @awgbakery. I’ve had to eliminate so many things but it’s all for good reason, to reduce all the inflammation. I’m working with @lifelabwellnessco if you would like your own custom plan and testing 🙏🏼 should I share more videos like this?
