Happy Wednesday babes! It’s already What I Ate Wednesday, time is flying by. I noticed I haven’t been drinking as many green juices as I used to. Fruit smoothies have taken over! (And green smoothies too) I think I would rather eat a huge salad than drink a green juice nowadays, and maybe I have become a little lazy with it too. But I do love the buzz of vitamins and minerals from all the greens. Marty and I used to be OBSESSED with green juice, if we didn’t have one every single morning, we felt lost! For a good 6 months, breakfast was always green juice. And it used to fill me up and provide sustained energy but now, I need more. Fruit seems to do the trick for me.
To start out my day, I had about 24 oz of warm water with fresh lime juice. Then a cup of coffee with almond coconut milk and 2 teaspoons coconut sugar. Same as usual! And this lovely pink smoothie was 2 bananas, 1 orange, a handful of raspberries, a small chunk of frozen pitaya, almond milk and ice! Topped with vanilla granola.
Lunch was leftover Sesame Veggie Stir Fry with tofu and avocado, over 3/4 cup quinoa. Totally hit the spot!
I snacked on some watermelon after taking Taz and Chuy on a walk. Nothing tastes better than fresh juicy watermelon in the summer 🙂
Dinner was easy! I made my Simple Greek Veggie Salad with a side of Mediterranean hummus and pita crackers. After dinner I made Marty watch the Endless Love movie with me, my new favorite love story, right up their with The Notebook and is way too similar to our relationship! But switched around haha. We kept looking at each other like really? Is this our life? I am going to buy the movie today, I need to watch it again! Have you seen it?!
And we had red wine too, I snapped a pretty picture outside. Those are frozen grapes in there instead of ice cubes! My new fave idea.
I should mention I drink a ton of water throughout the day and always have a glass by my side to stay hydrated. And with lunch I take 4 of the Organic Burst Chlorella Tablets, for an extra boost.
