Hello loves! I have some exciting news… I’M WRITING A BOOK!! EEK!!
This has been in the works for a couple months now and I couldn’t wait to finally share my excitement!!
A publishing company called Blue Star Press reached out to me, asking if I had any interest in working together on my very own book about hormones, cycle tracking, skincare and living plant based (with lots of phase-appropriate recipes!) and it feels like a dream come true. Writing a book has always been one of those dreams that seemed so far away from reality, but life has a funny way of working out because for a long time now, I’ve been asking myself “what’s next for me”, intentionally putting it out there in the universe that I’m open and ready for a new endeavor. Not that I would ever stop blogging, but something new on the side, to challenge myself and take me out of my very comfy comfort zone.
Months later, I got the email that made me do a double take and surprised the living heck out of me! A book offer was an unexpected blessing that I believe will pull me out of my routine and shake things up a bit, which we all need from time to time.
The blog is my life and will always remain my #1, so don’t worry, I will definitely keep up with posting! Along the way, I’ll share the journey of writing a book with you too, because I couldn’t have done it without you guys!! I’ve already started writing and am still nervous about the whole process and how the book will turn out but I know it will all work out beautifully in the end.
This book is for you guys!! We are still deciding on a title (update: book title is?The Happy Hormone Guide!) but it will be out next spring/summer 🙂
Okay, now onto What I’ve Been Eating Lately!
Cauliflower rice stir fry with greens plus avocado toast with sprouts!
We’ve been loving my?Mermaid Babe Rolls?with their spirulina mermaid sauce!!!
The healthiest snack around… sliced english cucumber with spicy salsa!!! I can’t even with this new fave snack of mine. TRY IT!
Roasted veggies for luteal phase – a MUST for me!
How I drink my coffee now… sugar-free yet still creamy from coconut cream and sweet from stevia and monkfruit! Read the post on sugar addiction and how I gave up sugar!!
Spicy Mango Black Bean Tacos… still working on the recipe for this one and it might end up in the book because it’s SO DANG GOOD!
I tried making veggie sushi using this sushi kit (which made it so easy!) and I was thoroughly impressed!! Less rice next time, and more veggies but if I can make a video on how I do this, I will for sure over the next couple weeks! Until then, get the kit 🙂
Another veggie stir fry because we love it so much! This one has celery, bell peppers, cabbage, zucchini, edamame, carrot, tamari and FRESH grated ginger, which seriously made all the difference in flavor. I highly recommend. I got this grater for ginger from amazon which I LOVE and use all the time now.
Watermelon margaritas from this past weekend… TOO good and so many of you messaged me saying you made them and are obsessed now too!!! They’re only 3 ingredients. You just have to remember to freeze the watermelon ahead of time/the night before.
Spicy Kale and Quinoa Black Bean Salad with a side of greens and avocado. This one never gets old.
Last nights dinner! We went to the new Caf? Zupas for post-workout eats and were pleasantly surprised! I order the Thai Coconut Tofu Bowl which I would 100% order again and a veggie sandwich with tofu that I ended up saving for lunch today. I love when healthy new places pop up near me… it’s rare!
And of course, my beloved Tropical Breakfast Glow Bowl that I cannot get enough of. Made with coconut yogurt, chia pudding, juicy pineapple and toasted coconut. YUMM.
That’s it for What I’ve Been Eating Lately. Hope you enjoyed and let me know in the comments below if you have any questions about the book or anything else you want to know about it!
Taz is somewhat excited for the book… while shooting these pictures, we found out he does NOT like balloons ha 😉
Great news about the bookNot sure about the hormone stuff but there definitely is a lack of vegan beauty info cruelty free, vegan, untested on animals,ect..and it would be very nice to see that in book form.As well as diy would love to see info on brands and good companies to buy from.
Thanks Issabetta!
