    What I Ate Wednesday

    Aug 2, 2017 • What I Ate

    Good morning!

Hope you’re havin a splendid week so far. Happy hump day! Did you see yesterday’s post about my secret period hack for bloating…? It really, truly works!

    HYDRATION:

My morning water was Mermaid Lemonade! Mostly because spirulina is on the list for the luteal phase – and Mermaid Lemonade is so dang puuurty. Sometimes my morning hydration is lemon water, sometimes it’s good old plain water, but you guys know I won’t go without lots of water first thing… every single morning! Is it weird to show you my water intake?! I don’t know ha, but itis imperative for keeping my skin clear and smooth.

P.S. >> I use this huge 32 ounce mason jar all day every day because I can measure out how much I’m drinking (I aim for 2-3 liters per day) and I’m not wasting plastic water bottles. I also use this water filter which is a zillion times better than Brita, but any filtered water is better than tap so do what you can.

    What I Ate Wednesday

    BREAKFAST:

I’ve been waking up pretty hungry lately, so I quicklymade a protein smoothie with 2 slices of avocado toast, topped with hemp seeds and red pepper flakes. It made for the perfect breakfast, along with my supplements too.

    Green Protein Smoothie:

    • 2 handfuls spinach
    • 1/2 frozen banana
    • 2 tablespoons chia
    • 1 tablespoon almond butter
    • 1/2 scoop Vega Sport vanila protein
    • 1 scoop Amazing Grass Raw Reserve greens powder
    • 1 cup unsweetened coconut milk
    • 1/4 cup filtered water
    • topped with cacao nibs for crunch!

    What I Ate Wednesday

    SNACKS:

I snacked on some caramel coconut chips mid-morning and then some english cucumber while making my lunch bowl. I can’t get over Taz’s nose peeking out!!! He’s my everything.

    LUNCH:

I was working from home all day, so I made a plant powered glow bowl for lunch! With mixed Organic Girl super greens, steamed sweet potato and saut?ed broccoli with tomatoes, plus a spoonful of my go-to tahini sauce that I make almost weekly. So yum and nourishing.

    What I Ate Wednesday

P.S. >> shop my distressed denim shorts (under $20!) and pink free people bralette/sports bra (on sale for $25!) and also the matching pink leggings that are SO comfortable I could live in them (also on major sale)!

    SNACKS:

Pre-workout snack: Health Warrior bar in Mango flavor and a cup of fennel tea! Read more on why I love fennel tea here.

    DINNER:

A super simple dinner of steamed broccoli, kale tossed with my cucumber dill tzatziki sauce and greek chickpea burgers that I’m testing out.. they were a little dry so still working on it!

    What I Ate Wednesday

    DESSERT:

A handful (or two) of vegan dark chocolate chips 🙂 plus a warm cup of Calming Magnesium Beauty Sleep Tea as per usual, before bed!

    ?

Hope you enjoyed this What I Ate Wednesday!

Did you make anything yummy this week?! Leave me a comment!

HANDLE NAME CHANGE!! I’ve been wanting to do th HANDLE NAME CHANGE!!

I’ve been wanting to do this for a while as a fresh start with all the changes to my “brand” in the last year. It feels right to just use my name 😀 (fun fact: I haven’t taken my hubbys last name yet because of business paperwork that I’m too lazy to figure out 😅 name changes are complicated)

@theglowingfridge started out of my love for the plant based lifestyle but so much has changed in the last 9 years and I’ve been itching to update. Nothing else will change and my blog will still remain as is, if you still use my recipes and such. Love you all and thank you for supporting me through all these changes 🤍🤍🤍

what I eat for gut health, happy hormones, healthy what I eat for gut health, happy hormones, healthy skin & hair, and to be a patient mama 🖤

When my blood sugar is on a nasty rollercoaster, I’m not the best mama that I know I should be for my girl. I’m more irritable and short. So I prioritize protein, healthy fats and carbs at each meal. This helps me feel balanced and provides energy to play and chase after her all day! I need all the fuel I can get.

- breakfast tacos with pastured eggs
- collagen king coffee ☁️
- leftover homemade chicken fried rice
- swedish meatballs & gf pasta & green beans
- my homemade tahini maple cookies (I have a reel with the recipe!!) but I’m truly addicted 🍪
- always sipping on @gerolsteiner_usa 💧

    I don’t get ready everyday… But when I do I f I don’t get ready everyday…

But when I do I feel better, duh! And more confident. More productive. Happier in general. Of course I have super lazy days but I try to get myself together because I’m more likely to leave the house, you know mamas? I hate when people ask “why do you get ready if you’re home all day”..

I’m sharing different content like this because I feel like it and don’t want to be stuck in a box 😀

I mean if you drink it everyday… It should be o I mean if you drink it everyday…

It should be organic, mold-free, tested for mycotoxins and taste delicious, etc. King coffee goes a step further with a therapeutic dose of reishi spores, the most powerful and potent part of reishi mushroom! Most other companies use the lucidum part of reishi, in case you’re wondering 👑

passes & smashes for gut healing ❤️‍🩹 I passes & smashes for gut healing ❤️‍🩹

I have many more passes too.. extreme diets, too many supplements, gluten, juice cleanses, eating too fast and not chewing enough.. the list goes on!

Gut healing takes a multi-faceted approach and it’s never just one supplement to heal or one thing to do.

It takes time, patience and grace! And working alongside a practitioner you feel called to 🙏🏼
